There would be around 3,500 postgraduate doctors affected in unpaid amounts.

The young doctors tried to reach the Palace, the same one that is sheltered around it by metal concertina mesh to avoid excesses.

Between Guayaquil and Esmeraldas streets there was a slight confrontation between the protesters and members of the National Police who fired tear gas to dispel the medical march, which intended to enter by other roads to the Plaza Grande to demand payments from President Lenín Moreno.
