The EcoDesafío seeks to promote the care of the environment through a process of training and accompaniment to 20 Neighborhood Commissions of the City of Asunción, each one with its respective Base Recycler. Each Commission and the committed neighbors will be in charge of correctly separating plastics, aluminum, paper and cardboard packaging for subsequent recycling.

Coca-Cola Paraguay participates in this action as an organizer. During the launch Silvina Bianco, Director of Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability at Coca-Cola, stated: “We celebrate the consolidation of ASU Recicla as an example of public-private collaboration that promotes the circular economy. Each of the actors that make up this initiative is essential to create a true virtuous circle. That is why we value the commitment of neighbors, reclaimers and recyclers in this program. When we all commit ourselves from design, recovery and recycling, the circular economy is no longer a utopia and a world without waste becomes a reality «

For his part, Angel Almada Torras, Manager of Public Affairs and Communications at Coca-Cola Paresa indicated: “Paraguay can be a benchmark country in recycling issues, there is already a value chain and an industry that is increasingly betting on the model of circularity in its processes, which allows high recycling rates for materials such as PET. Initiatives such as Asunción Recicla 2.0 will allow us to accelerate the fulfillment of our goal of #UnMundoSinResiduos of recovering and recycling the equivalent of 100% of the containers that we put on the market by 2030 «
