20 Bolivia drops to less than 100 new cases of Covid-19 this Saturday

This Saturday, November 28, Bolivia recorded a total of 144,592 confirmed coronavirus infections. On this day, 98 new infected were added, a figure less than the hundred cases that had been occurring since last Tuesday. The new cases were counted in eight departments of the country.

The recent infected were registered in Tarija with 34 cases; La Paz (23), Chuquisaca (17), Santa Cruz (16), Cochabamba (5), Oruro (1), Potosí (1) and Pando with a case.

The report details that there were six deaths from Covid-19. Of these deceased, two were in Santa Cruz, two in La Paz and two in Cochabamba. Across the country, the total number of fatalities from the pandemic is 8,949 since the first death.

In global figures, the department of Santa Cruz has so far, 44,870 infected people. Then there is La Paz with 35,489; Tarija with 16,651; Cochabamba with 14,238; Potosí 9,426, Chuquisaca with 8,021; Beni with 7,340; Oruro 6,155; and Pando reports a total of 2,402 confirmed cases.

Among the infected patients, 121,280 recovered and received their medical discharge, so there are 14,363 active cases in the country. The official epidemiological report also recorded 213,999 tests that were discarded in the laboratory and the result of another 1,164 suspected cases is expected.
