IOS Personalization Apps Succeed
For its study, Sensor Tower has tracked the downloads of the five most popular apps available on the App Store that offer customizable widgets for the iOS 14 home screen: Widgetsmith, Color Widgets, Photo Widget: Simple, WidgetBox and Photo Widget.
These apps have been installed in more than 13 million iPhones in the United States alone since the release of iOS 14 on September 16. Specifically on September 21, they were downloaded almost 4 million times.

And that’s not all, the study has also investigated the apps that offer icons for the iOS 14 home screen. These apps accumulate almost two million downloads in the same period of time. The most important apps in this case are Brass, App Icons, Icon Changer +, ScreenKit and Icon Themer.
