El Halcón beat Garnet in all facets of the game and did not let his prey breathe, trapped between the good football of Crespo’s men, who won what is the first title in history for Defensa y Justicia, a team founded in 1935.

The goal that opened the can was scored by the central Frías, but he built it, pulling lines, the entire defense sector of Defense and Justice: looking for the left wing first, reaching almost to the end of the field and crossing the ball to the small area.

Manual: and with a bit of magic thanks to a heel pass from Francisco Pizzini that facilitated all the action.

When he scored, Frías celebrated it with a kiss on the shield that he will always remember because it was not only the first goal of the final but the first goal of his entire sports career, and at what moment.

In all that time and until the break, Defense and Justice also stifled any intention of putting up opposing lines on the part of their rival.

Romero and Washington Camacho sentenced

Not even the experienced forward Pepe Sand could do it, who rather than build lines, dug them backward to his mark to keep the ball, all the game playing from behind.

Nor did the young promise Pedro de la Vega appear, replaced in the second half with some physical discomfort.

In the second half, the second goal arrived, which put things very in favor of Defense, and very against those of Luis Zubeldia, blurred in the technical area.

In the second, Braian Romero, the top scorer in the Sudamericana with ten goals, did get the Vaseline that had failed at the start of the game and the coach jumped with joy as when he scored goals with the Argentine team.

In added time, the Uruguayan Washington Camacho turned the result into a win with a 0-3 that made the few people explode – members of the Defense expedition – who were in the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium in Córdoba, otherwise empty because of the covid-19 pandemic.

And so, thanks to the Crespo lines, a team from a humble neighborhood in the south of Buenos Aires won the first title in its history, which was also in an international competition and arrived to round off a project that in recent years had already given warnings that he was hungry for drinks.
