0-1. Salva Sevilla gives Mallorca their second win

Real Mallorca defeated FC Cartagena 0-1 this Wednesday in the Balearic team’s second pre-season friendly, the first played at the La Nucía Stadium.

The first half was dominated by the Balearic team that, at the edge of the quarter of an hour, took the lead after a good play by Pablo Maffeo, an action that the omnipresent Salva Sevilla took advantage of to beat Marc Martínez.

For its part, Cartagena, despite playing with great intensity, barely put Manolo Reina in trouble, except for a shot by Nacho Gil in minute 4 and another by Boateng in minute 41. This was all the offensive baggage of Efesé in the first half.

After the break, the Majorcan coach, Luis García Plaza, put Joan Sastre, Febas, Cufré and Mboula on the field and continued to dominate the game.

For his part, the Cartagena coach, Luis Carrión, took Ortuño and Rubén Castro out to boost his team’s attack but the Mallorcan defense stopped them well.

The young Majorcan player Thomás Giaquinto crashed a ball into the base of the post in the 75th minute, while Cartagena also replied with a header from Ortuño that crashed into the post (minute 80).

The meeting died in the middle of the struggle of the protagonists in the center of the field.
